A perfect page-turner for summer. It's entertaining, well written, a fast read. If you follow the story, it is a romance book, if you pay attention to where the story takes place, it is a historical fiction book, if you are a geek you will love the intelligent and well researched dialogue. The dialogue makes you stop for a second, write down quotes from the book and keep them forever in your notes or journal. If you love foreign cultures you will love the food descriptions. If you are looking for love, you won’t get enough of Mona and her gorgeous good looking rock star. If you are interested how people lived in communism, you won’t get enough of Mona;s Journal entries. If you are looking more than a love story, you will be fascinated by the the book diving deeply into the human psyche. If you looking for a ‘feeling-good’ summer read, you will love the settings and the characters. I finished the several hours ago and have been thinking about this one since then. The character and plot development are done well. Nothing seems forced or out of place in the story, it all flows together in a natural order. The end sums up the book wonderfully and doesn’t leave any questions open nor does it leave the readers feel like the story was not completed. PS. Vera was my favorite character. I have traveled the lands where the story takes place. I have walked up and down the train corridors, trying the doors, hoping to find one unlocked. It's what's inside that might make you change your mind, or open it further. I love the way that author M Schneiders puts the reader in the story. You become part of this modern history international love story. An excellent read.
The book made me nostalgic. Totally recommend.
Interesting to get a little perspective on communism in Romania along with a romantic novella and some philosophic interpretations.

This is a book with an interesting story line. There are surprises here and there, and shows the thoughtfulness of the author. A good read for lovers of fiction books. The characters have personalities that are interesting with how they think and act. I recommend this book.
It is a fascinating story, the dialogue is simply addicted. You get pulled into Mona's story and you feel with her. Mona meets Alin - a gorgeous rock star- on a train. When they arrive at their destination, Mona gets to meet his band mates. Mona and Alin will have a tangled love affair filled with jealousy, sex and parties.
The book has a raw carnal passion that drags you deep into it . You will learn from Mona's mistakes and the journal entries will make sense of her behavior. After you will finish the book, Mona will still haunt your thoughts; she is a character that many of us can relate to in this manner. "
This book is amazing!!!! Its more of a historical romance book. That is filled with tons of culture and is very captivating. You also get to learn what life is like from someone that has lived in communism in a way that keeps you to want to learn and know more on life under that environment.
